How to Create a Site Map Page and/or a Tabbed Archive Page

| November 22, 2010 | 0 Comments

You may have noticed the Site Map and Tabbed Archives pages on the demo site. That’s done with the built-in Site Map and Tabbed Archives page templates, and it’s easy for you to create these pages on your own site.

Step 1 – Write a New Page

Just click the Add New link under the Pages tab in your WordPress dashboard. Be sure to give your page a page title by filling in the Title field. Other than that, you don’t need to write any content in the post editor box.

Step 2 – Assign the Site Map or Tabbed Archive Page Template to your Page

On the right side of you Add Page screen, under Page Attributes, you’ll see a drop-down box titled “Template.” From the drop-down list, select “Site Map” OR “Tabbed Archive” and click the Publish button.
